For the first time ever Windows is allowing you to update to their newest operating system for free!!! Microsoft has done this in the past where you can upgrade your operating system when they have flunked in the consumer’s eyes, but it is different this time for the windows 7 and windows 8.1 update.
The difference between an upgrade an update really boils down to the simplicity of the change. In the past upgrading required you to download an ISO file, burn it to a DVD or CD and then try to figure out how to get your computer to boot up through that DVD to install the upgrade. Usually this process is too complicated for most people to even try.
The Windows 10 update is different and much simpler!
If you haven’t noticed already, on the bottom right hand corner of your computer by the clock a Windows symbol has popped up that looks like this:
All you have to do is click on the icon and pre-register for the update which will be officially released on July 29th of 2015. Registering is easy.
1.Click on Reserve your free copy today.
2. Then type in your email address and click send confirmation.
You will receive an email from Microsoft confirming that you will have the update installed on July 29th.
Even better news for the more cautious computer user, you do not have to do the update now. The free update will be available for a year.
